All our Riverhead trips over the Christmas Season are Bus and Boat return, This means 1 way by bus and 1 way by boat depending on the tides.

All our Christmas Cruises to Riverhead from the 13th of November, to the 25th of December, will be our Bus & Boat option. This allows you to spend much more time at the Riverhead, to enjoy the fantastic venue and whats on offer. Prior to the 13th of November, our normal return by boat option is still available. Our Bus and Boat option can be either way by Bus or Boat depending on the tides. (Please confirm this when booking) Bus transport is on a standard Coach.
The total cruise duration including dining and the trip by Bus & Boat is 5.5 hours. This includes a 1.5 hour Cruise to or from the Riverhead, 3 hours dining at the Riverhead, and a half an hour bus ride to or from Auckland.
Please Note: Private charters (exclusive hire) can spend longer at The Riverhead if arranged when booking. The Bus must leave at The booked time and can not be changed on the day.

We have a fully licensed cash bar on the boat and Company TABs can be arranged. Sorry No BYO Allowed. We do have EFTPOS available on the boat however reception can be unreliable so please ensure your guests bring cash. Click here for boat bar prices
As part the cruise and included in your charter fee, we will Supply nibbles on the cruise to Riverhead free of Charge. (Please note) This is for the Trip to Riverhead only, no nibbles will be provided if returning to Auckland by boat.
We have a full music system on board the boat as well as disco / party lights and I Pod facilities if you wish to play your own music.
There will be live music from 8pm – 12pm in The boathouse on Friday & Saturday nights as well as the normal Blues in the Boathouse from 2pm on Sundays. Other entertainment can be arranged for larger groups, for more information please contact The Riverhead to discuss.
The Riverhead has a large Restaurant, Function facilities for Groups Large & Small, a Sports bar, and also the Boathouse function venue which is open to the Public for Lunch and Dinner from the 13th of November to the 25th of December. Samller groups of 14 or less may be able to go into the Landing Resturant on our shared charters or groups of 18 or less can hire Deacons Kitchen. Groups over 18 will be offered The Boathouse option. Parking at Westhaven is Pay and display and costs $20.00 for 24 hours. You must pay at the parking machine and put your parking ticket in your window so it can be clearly seen. You can only Park in the Yellow lines, Cars parked in the red lines will be ticketed even if you have paid for parking. We recommend paying $20.00 for 24 hours parking. The Red boats accepts no responsibility if you choose to pay for less and receive a parking ticket if the boat is running late. Parking is your responsibility, The Red boats accepts no responsibility for customer parking.
