Take a cruise on Auckland Harbour this Summer to the famous award winning Riverhead - a historic tavern. Experience the fantastic scenery and amazing history based around Auckland's upper harbour estuary's & the historic Riverhead.
The Boat trip:
Our fantastic boat cruise departs Z pier Westhaven in Downtown Auckland, and ventures into the beautiful sheltered, uncharted waterways of the upper Waitemata harbour, where we retrace the footsteps of early sailing ships and scows that once traded these waters. The trip to The Riverhead tavern takes 1.5 hours, we have a fully licensed bar on board and an informative commentary is given throughout the cruise.
The Tavern
Once at Riverhead, we depart the Vessel and head ashore into the newly renovated Riverhead - a historic tavern. The options are endless at the Riverhead, you can dine in at the Landing Resturant, check out the menu in the Portage bar, or enjoy a burger from the Boathouse grill, where a live blues band is staged from 2pm every Sunday and other selected dates during the Holidays. (See scheduled events) Whatever you decide to do there is no better place to be than The Riverhead. After 2 enjoyable hours at the Riverhead, we then board the Vessel again for a relaxing cruise back to Auckland city with The Red boats.

Cost:Adults $35.00 pp /Children 5-15 $15.00pp (Price includes boat trip only, meals at the tavern are extra) (Payment by cash or CHQ no eftpos on board)
Seniors:$27.00pp for Gold card holders "Mon-Fri Only" Price includes boat trip only meals at the tavern are extra (Payment by cash or CHQ no eftpos on board)
Duration: 5 hours (Includes a 1.5 hour boat trip to and from Riverhead, and 2 hours at the Riverhead tavern)
Parking : Parking is available at our departure point Z pier Westhaven Marina. Parking costs $14.00 for the day and the parking machines are coin operated. Alternitive parking in Auckland can be found at 24 Daldy street a 10 minutes walk from our departure point. The Daldy Street Carpark Costs $8.00 for the day. Parking at Birkenhead Wharf is free although there is a short walk to the wharf.
Sunday Burgers: $10.00pp Available at the Boathouse Grill on Sundays when the Blues band is playing. (Open most days during the Holidays, please enquire with The Riverhead)
