Auckland Heritage Festival Cruise

“Before roads were constructed on land, there was the sea, the harbours, the estuaries and the rivers. Like early Māori before them, the new settlers used the same waterways as their highways” – God Willing and Weather Permitting by Malcom Hahn (2006).

The Red boats is proud to be part of the Auckland Heritage Festival this year.

On the 1st of October we will be running an historic cruise Departing from the Hobsonville Ferry terminal at 1215m and returning at 215pm.

Please note our 10am sailing is full!!!!

Listen to talks on the heritage of transport and travel on Auckland’s Upper Waitematā Harbour as you enjoy a ferry ride exploring our former “highways”.

The ferry will depart from and return to Hobsonville Point, the former air force base.

While here, have a wander around the local farmers’ market and the wharf’s colourful story panels.

Food can be purchased at the farmers’ market before or after your trip, and we have a licensed bar on board with light snacks available.

Tickets are available for purchase online $12.50 for adults and $7.50 for children. Seats are limited so please book now to avoid disappointment.
